official. The name of the most high God is invoked for assistance.
During the ceremony the elected official presented himself, make a
promise, and call on the Almighty.
- "I,..." From the small section of the purok
he make himself known to the whole barangay who he is. From the privacy of
his home he goes out to the public. Nobody forces him, he does it
voluntarily.
- "elected as...." -He knows the responsibility of
the office he is elected. Purok officials has no remuneration

An Example Of Leadership
Once upon a time in ancient Rome, there was a story of a man named Cincinnatus. There was a war. The Roman army was surrounded, and the country was in need of a leader who would seize the moment and turn impending defeat into victory.
They called upon a man who was out plowing his field, a farmer named Cincinnatus. He came. He saw. He conquered. He went home. Cincinnatus gained fame for his selfless devotion to his country. This half-legendary hero gave his all in a time of crisis, and then, when the task was done, he gave up the reins of power and went back to his plow. (http://matutumformunicipalitymovement.
