Barangay election 2008, there were five candidates contesting for the position of barangay captain: Edith Jimena ( the wife of barangay captain Roberto C. Jimena), Kagawad Jose P. Esposado Sr., Kagawad Mar Superioridad, Kagawad Eugene Taburno, and Eustaquio Candari.
Mar Superioridad came out the winner. So he is the present barangay captain of Cannery Site.
Was the lose of the Edith Jimena as the extention dream of former barangay captain Roberto C. Jimena who is the proponent of the creation of Matutum to become a municipality, the death signal of that dream? Only time will tell.
