Barangay officials of Polomolok (2002-2007) conducted a Lakbay Aral.

Lakbay-Aral, a Filipino term literally translated as "travel-study", is a program that seeks to provide people concern with an opportunity to learn more through experiencing and by observing life in other places. The participants are expected to gain better understanding of the places they went into and its people, and greater awareness and appreciation of how Filipino communities struggle to better their lives. The experience will hopefully instill and preserve a sense of national pride among the participants, compare developments between their locality with other places, observe other Filipino cultures that may serve as catalyst in the participants’ work and duties as elected public officials and public employees.
